Luis Tosar

Born in Xustás, Cospeito, Spain on October 13, 1971. He began in the field of short films and then became known for his appearance in the TV series "Galicia Riptide" that launched him to fame in Galicia. In February of 2003 he was elected 'Galego of the Month' by El Correo Gallego. He is currently an honorary ambassador of the Casco Vello Vigo.
He received the Goya Award of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain in 2003 as Best Actor for Mondays in the Sun and in 2004 for Best Actor for Take My Eyes. He also won the Silver Shell for the Film Festival San Sebastian in 2003 for Take My Eyes. In the 2009 edition he won the Award for Best Actor for his performance in Cell 211.
