Goya
The Goya or Annual Academy Awards are an award presented each year by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences of Spain, in order to reward the best professionals in each of the different film specialisms. The award consists of a bust of Francisco de Goya cast in bronze by the sculptor José Luis Fernández.
The ceremony of awards takes place between late January and early February and follows the format of the Academy Awards.
The awards are currently delivered in 28 categories, excluding the Goya Award of Honor, with a maximum of four candidates for each of them from the thirteenth edition (having been five in the second and third editions and three others).
